I looooooove this shop and the events it holds! Run shops can be intimidating for someone who doesn't look like a "conventional" runner but Coastal Run Maine is super welcoming and just a wonderful vibe. The owner Alex is absolutely amazing and hosts really inclusive group runs. The shop itself is well stocked and is a great spot for nutrition, clothes, hats, glasses, shoes, etc. Highly, highly recommend!

I was impressed with the individualized attention and recommendations Alex gave me. I have had a few health issues that altered my gait and activities over the past few years. I recently got my hip replacement and have the other issues under control to the point that I want to return to being active without injuries. Alex examined my gait, noted what support would most likely be best for me. She listened to me and brought out multiple shoes for me to try that would be great for where I am at now and for the activities I will most often be participating in. I know their primary focus is on running but Alex heard me when I said I didn't expect or even want to be running for this 1st year and brought out shoes perfect for walking on and off trails. I got a non trail Altra Paradigm 8 and they feel fantastic walking on and off trails. I've had them for a little over 2 weeks and have put over 45 miles on them.

My daughter is starting cross country for Scarborough in September and we needed shoes. Wanting to support a local business we went to Coastal Run on Route 1 in Scarborough because we had heard excellent things. We are a running family and know quality running shoes. Alex the owner greeted us and gave my daughter 6 options for shoes and allowed her to try them all out, offering expert advice as well. I was blown away by both her customer service, her knowledge, and the options they had for shoes! Highly recommend to all families in and around Scarborough!

Justin stopped what he was doing to help me. He listened to my story about my damaged rehabbed ankle tendon and the need for a stability shoe. He brought out several pairs and patienly helped me try them on. I got the perfect fit. Thanks.

Coastal Run is a fantastic addition to Easton, MD! Today, I needed new shoes for an upcoming 10K. Justin was extraordinarily knowledgeable. Well-versed in shoe technology and which options best suited my needs and goals. Walked out with two new pairs--one of which will for sure be my race day shoe!

After years of not running I recently started again and quickly realized I needed new shoes. A lot hand changed since I’ve purchased my last pair so I felt like I was starting from zero. The staff (didn’t get her name) was incredibly helpful and talked me through trying on about 10 pairs of shoes. I landed on Topo Phantom 4s and I couldn’t be happier. She was incredibly helpful and walked me through all the different pairs of shoes and fielded all my stupid questions easily. Great customer service and a great experience. Very happy and will continue to return to costal run.

I went to this store after my mom had recommended them- they are the only store in Easton, MD to sell hokas (which I thought would be the shoe I would purchase when walking in) After speaking to the associate and her looking at my gait and arch she recommended a couple shoes, with my career I basically stand constantly for 8-10 hours a day in one singular place so a good pair of shoes is NEEDED. Ultimately we decided on topo’s and they are AMAZING! So thankful to have found this shop and would recommend to everyone I know!

I was really satisfied with my experience at Coastal Run in Easton! The staff was really knowledgeable and took time to talk to me about my exercise regimen and needs in a shoe. They presented several options based on our conversation and catered to me to make sure I got the right fit. The store is equipped with a treadmill to use to compare shoes too. This was my second experience here and I’ve been impressed both times!

Wait, what? There’s actually a shoe store that takes the time to fit you. In need of new shoes I recalled a coworker talking highly about her experience here. They actually fit you and listen with care to your needs. I’ve been on the planet for quite awhile and never felt shoes as comfortable as the pair I purchased. The cushion comfort was a win. Healthy activities of movement are going to feel so much better.

I am so happy to have found this place! I love it. They have everything you need and are so kind and helpful. I am always impressed when a business makes your experience feel personal. So I was pleasantly surprised when Jay remembered me, my kids and even the shoes I purchased over a month ago. My favorite shoes I’ve ever tried. I live over an hour away but I will always come here. I’ve even sent friends down here!

As a newer runner, I walked in with a general idea of what I needed but definitely a little bit of imposter syndrome. From the moment I arrived, though, I was immediately made to feel comfortable. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and so easy to talk to. They took the time to answer all of my questions and made the entire experience enjoyable. I left with so much more knowledge than I came in with, a pair of sneakers that fit perfectly thanks to their gait assessment, and complete confidence in my purchase. They have a great selection of other athletic needs as well, I can’t recommend them enough and will absolutely be sending anyone looking for running/walking shoes their way!

Alex and the the team at Coastal Run are a total treasure! They’re doing such a great job creating a running community around the store. Alex is a kind, friendly, open person who is generous with her time and extremely inviting to runners of all types. This space celebrates running and offers it accessibly-not gatekeeping or “competing”. Sports spaces can be intense and unappealing for people who aren’t elite training and don’t care about their times. They’re building something different, and that’s special! Hands down, best running store in New England! Alex must have the world's best memory, always remembering when you were in last and what your running interests are! The inventory they keep in stock is top of the line and what is even more amazing is they have something for everyone - & I mean everyone! I've gone from short races, to long races, to taking a long break from running and needing to get back into it. The people that work at this store make you feel accepted and truly understand every aspect of the lifelong running journey. Whether you are considering buying your very first pair of running shoes to begin this journey or you're a long seasoned runner, they are experts in getting you measured & fitted to ensure you have as long of a journey within running as your heart desires! A huge thank you to Alex & this amazing running community.

I wish Id caught her name but a wonderful human was very helpful and friendly. Im a long term runner and she really sold me on a new shoe!! Im so excited to go running in them. Most of the running stores I've been too in the last 5 years have fancy machines where you step on them and tell you what to buy, while those are great, this women was so knowledgable, it clearly wasn't needed. In a world full of over tipping, this was a place I wish I could. Thank you so much for your time! - A tourist.

What a great store for any runner or anyone who wants good solid shoes to walk, run or train in. I went to the Easton store and after initially picking out a shoe that corrected for pronation, they were able to get me into the proper neutral shoe. Good clothing, gear and sunglasses too.

We had excellent service from store owner Alex at this cool, woman-owned shop in Scarborough. The selection of running shoes was just what we needed to get my daughter back on the road for a run! Running shoes are such an investment, and we appreciated the space to run in the long hallway behind the shop and talk through the features of each type. The hats and clothing were designs I had not seen before- very fun! She also carries my favorite running and walking socks: Feetures! This may become an annual pilgrimage- new running shoes when we get up to Maine and the cooler temperatures!

Awesome! Originally went to the local big box sporting goods store in Easton only to find what was supposed to be available “in store” per online, was “not really” there but could be shipped to residence. The employee did apologize for the inconvenience and recommended a “new local store Coastal Run” that stocks the same brands of running shoes we wanting to try on before purchase. Great experience! The sales associate, Shawn, was friendly, professional, knew the brand differences and took the time to assist in a perfect fit. Highly recommend!
