Who We Are

Coastal Run Maine is a local running store in Scarborough, owned and operated by Alex Archambault. Coastal Run stocks everything Mainers need to fuel their adventures, from shoes to apparel to fuel to accessories.

The Coastal Run brand was founded in Maryland by Alex's mom, Donna Archambault. It blossomed from her deep love for running, fitness, and community. Even before the doors opened, Donna envisioned a vibrant hub where health, wellness, and self-improvement could thrive.

In 2024, ready to step away from the corporate tech world, Alex embarked on an exciting journey to bring the Coastal Run spirit to her beloved state of Maine. Our goal is to be the best source for running and fitness-related products in Southern Maine while simultaneously creating a vibrant running community!

Meet Alex

I am a lifelong athlete. I grew up playing competitive soccer and lacrosse and continued my love of sport serving as a D1 collegiate mascot. After college, I found a deep love for running, particularly on the trails.

In 2021 I suffered an Achilles injury that reintroduced me to the importance of strength training. While I wasn't running, I became obsessed with weight training. Wanting to learn as much as possible, I pursued my NASM personal training certification and passed the exam in 2022.

Today, I still love to run but also balance that with strength training and cycling. I also have my 200-hour yoga teacher training certification. I love to build community and love living in Scarborough!
