About the OOfos OOriginal Thong - Nomad
The recovery sandal that started it all.
The OOFOS OOriginal Sandal is a thong-style recovery sandal made to slip on right after a run, a hard workout or a long shift. It's the style OOFOS calls the original recovery footwear.
It's built entirely from OOFOS' OOfoam, which the brand says absorbs 37% more impact than traditional footwear foam. The patented footbed has a rounded, cupped heel for stability and arch support, and the closed-cell foam is machine washable and designed to minimize odor.
Key Features:
- OOfoam absorbs 37% more impact than traditional footwear foam, per OOFOS

Questions before you buy
Can I pick it up in store?
Yes, where it's available. Check pickup availability for your size above, then choose local pickup at checkout. We'll email you when your order is ready.
How fast do online orders ship?
Shipping is free on US orders of $75 or more, and $10 below that. Orders are processed within 2 to 3 business days and are not shipped on weekends or holidays. You'll get a tracking number by email as soon as your order ships.
What is your return policy?
Return unworn items in their original packaging within 30 days of delivery, or within 60 days if you're a Coastal Run Rewards member. Return shipping is free. All sale items, and anything bought below its original price, are final sale.
I'm not sure what size to get. Can you help?
Yes. Stop into either store for a fitting, or send us a note and our fit team will help with sizing and a few shoes to try.
Do you carry wide sizes, and can I bring my orthotics?
Many of our shoes come in wide versions, and some have a roomier toe box by design. Bring your orthotics or insoles to a fitting so we can make sure they work with your new shoes.
How do Coastal Run Rewards work?
You earn 1 point for every $1 you spend, in store and online, and can redeem points for money off future purchases. Members also get 60 days, instead of 30, to return unworn, full-price items.
